Rev. Reeda Allen

Rev. Reeda Allen has served as Associate Minister of Johns Creek Christian Church since 2006. Prior to moving into that full time role, she served JCCC as part time Youth Director while completing her Master of Divinity at Mercer University’s McAfee School of Theology. In October 2007, JCCC had the privilege of sponsoring Reeda’s ordination within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Reeda has been in ministry of some kind since she was a teenager. At the age of 18, she began teaching children’s Sunday school in the church where she grew up. While in college at Kennesaw State University, Reeda was an active member of the Baptist Student Union and served as a summer missionary in Germany and Nicaragua. Reeda previously ministered in Baptist churches before coming to JCCC. She served as Director of Youth and Education at Holt Road Baptist Church in Marietta, GA from 1997 to 2002. She then served as Youth Minister at First Baptist Church in Claxton, GA from 2002 to 2004, and was ordained by that church in 2003. Reeda is single and has no children, so she proudly claims all of the children and youth at JCCC as her own. Her passion for ministry lies in working with children and youth and doing mission work.
Reeda enjoys the outdoors, spoiling her nieces and nephews, listening to music and watching movies, Georgia Bulldog football, laughter, hugs, traveling, dinner with friends, studying theology, and being real. Her personal motto is: “Life is a journey to be traveled and lived as best as we know how. When I come to the end of my life, whether I’ve accomplished everything I want or not, I just want to know that I’ve lived my life with meaning and purpose.”
